The Volubilis side-table refers to the archaeological ruins of the Roman era of Volubilis, Morocco. The archetypal shape of the classical capital is reconstructed through the reinterpretation of “Centopietre”, a rare marble extracted in ancient Egypt. A special edition made in Marmo di Rima reproduces “Serpentina moschinata”, an ancient material from the excavation site of Uadi Atallah, in the eastern Egyptian desert.
This edition is enriched with selenite inclusions, a particular transparent and translucent crystalline gypsum, which was used in ancient Greece as glass.
