Marmo di Rima
Unique piece for FENDI
The DOMUS POMPEII pedestals designed for the FENDI Puerto Banus Store are characterized by the superimposition of two overlapping and misaligned fluted column sections, according to a post-archaeological interpretation of the Temple of Jupiter, from the archaeological site of Pompeii. The two columns are crafted in Marmo di Rima, a technique created in Italy in the 19th century to simulate natural marble, and refer to the marble pedestals found inside the Pompeian Villas, where they were used by the owners to display sculptures and objets d'art.
